I have always registered through Chestermere United Football Club (CUFC) and Junior Champions Soccer?
Both groups will register via the integrated TeamSnap portal.

All jerseys will have a Chestermere United Football Club (CUFC) / Junior Champions Soccer logo.
I liked how things were, why change?
There are numerous short- and long-term benefits to this partnership. A larger pool of grassroots players will help strengthen competitive programs for those aspiring to advance in the future. It will also provide experienced coaching, reduce competition for players, and elevate overall coaching standards.
Does this merger affect the District League?
No, District League has always run independent of the Grassroots program.
With larger number of players will this affect the coaching my child will have?
There is a strict ratio of players to coaches in each group with an adult coach.
Who will be the grassroots coordinator?
Paul Basi, will represent the combined programs. Paul has been running grassroots programs in Chestermere and Calgary for the last 16 years. Paul will report to Pascal Bonnet, interim Technical Director and CUFC VP.
Is this a permanent change?
Starting as 1 year trial, with plans to make permanent under CUFC umbrella.
Who approved this change?
CUFC committee worked with Junior champions on proposal. The CUFC board voted in favor.
What are other long-term benefits:
Increase player retention and registration in Chestermere by offering more competitive team options for those seeking higher-level play while still providing opportunities for all players to develop their skills, enjoy the game, and play alongside their friends.
Will there be any soccer academies for Grassroots?
We are looking at options of offering additional programs in summer and additional fully optional technical academy sessions for those who want additional training.
